VonderHaar; "Focusing on violent and drug-related crimes."

Adams County authorities say six more people have been arrested, as part of a warrant sweep.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office says the six were picked up Wednesday on warrants, on the second day of a planned sweep. Sheriff Brian VonderHaar says deputies, along with Quincy police, the West Central Illinois Drug Task Force and US Marshals focused on what they termed "violent and drug related crimes." The most serious charges are against Sharnell Washington of Quincy, who was nabbed for a number of charges, including Aggravated Domestic Battery, Aggravated Battery to a Child, Aggravated Battery and Meth possession.

Johnathan Gronewald of Clayton, Dillion Vahle and Damon Anderson of Quincy were all picked up on Drug delivery charges. A Palmyra woman, Frances Cormier, was arrested for Unlawful possession of Meth Precursors.
