Svetlana Avakyan, 68, pronounced dead at scene
A St. Charles, Missouri woman is dead after a car crash late Friday night in Pike County, Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened just after 11 PM on Highway 61, south of Cyrene. Troopers say a vehicle driven by 68 year old Svetlana Avakyan went off the highway and into a grass field, then hit a steel post and the base of a billboard sign.
Avakyan was pronounced dead at the scene by Pike County Coroner Jim Turner.
