Accused of stealing from Senior Center resident's room

A former staff member of the Quincy Senior and Family Resource Center has been indicted on a Burglary count, and has pleaded Not Guilty to a charge that she stole from a resident.

Michelle Steffen was indicted by an Adams County Grand Jury on Thursday, on one count of Residential Burglary. She entered that Not Guilty plea during a court appearance Friday morning. Prosecutors say that Steffen took several items from the room of a 69 year old female resident of the assisted living facility at the Senior Center. Police say Steffen allegedly entered the woman's room without permission and took the items while the woman wasn't home.

Steffen’s free on bond, and is set to go on trial May 7th.
