Suit against Chaddock moved out of Chicago

Suit against Chaddock moved out of Chicago

6 years ago by Scott Hardy

Negligence lawsuit filed in February to be heard in Central IL District Court

A negligence lawsuit filed by an Iowa woman, who alleges that Chaddock allowed her then 15-year old daughter to be snuck out and later drugged, beaten and sexually assaulted at a party, is changing locations.

Lawyers for both Kim Jensen and Chaddock were in US District court in Chicago Wednesday for a status hearing on the suit, filed in February by Jensen. Court records show that Chaddock's motion to move the case from Chicago to the Central Illinois District Court was granted. Jensen claims her adopted daughter, identified as KJ, walked out the front door of her cottage in late August 2017 with two other girls. She alleges the three were taken to a party at a home in the 400 block of Spruce, where the alleged assault happened. It also claims that the two other girls were previously assaulted at the same home, after leaving the school. Jensen's asking for $75,000 and punitive damages.

Jensen’s lawyers have asked for a 6 to 8 day trial, starting in July 2019.
