QPD says 11-year old girl attacked letter carrier Sept. 23
Quincy police say they've identified the suspect in an incident where a U.S. Postal Service employee was assaulted earlier this month.
Police said Sunday they identified that suspect as an 11-year old girl. In a statement, police say the girl allegedly hit the letter carrier in the back of her head and neck, while the postal worker was delivering mail on her route. Police add that the incident happened September 23rd near 14th and Lind. An investigation began that same day, and the girl is facing a charge of Battery. She's currently not being held.
The QPD says that all reports in the case are being forwarded to the State's Attorney's Office and the Adams County Probation Department.
