Adams County Sheriff's Office, Hancock County authorities both involved

A 16 year old driver reportedly crashed his car while fleeing from both Adams and Hancock County authorities late Thursday night.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office says it was called in to help Hancock County deputies shortly before 11 PM. That's after the teen aged driver fled from a traffic stop and headed south on Route 96. While en route to the scene, Adams County deputies learned the vehicle had crashed near the Bear Creek Curve south of Lima. The car ran off the road, traveled down a grassy embankment and hit some trees.

The juvenile was taken to Blessing Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Charges are pending.
