As a result of actions taken on Sunday morning, Officers located the third subject Cory C. Boots at his residence and took him into custody on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin 1-15 grams), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Cannabis. Boots was lodged in the Adams County Jail on Tuesday, February 2nd.
On 1/31/16 QPD Officers, Quincy Fire Department, and Adams County EMS were dispatched to 1611 Harrison St. for the report of multiple subjects having overdosed at this location. Upon arrival, Officers were unable to get a response from anyone inside of the residence. Ultimately, entry was gained at the rear of the residence to conduct a community care taking sweep of the residence to look for Heroin overdose victims. During the sweep, multiple items of drug paraphernalia were observed as well as actual drugs themselves.
