QPD says two were beaten with metal poles at a home on North 6th

Two people are hospitalized, and three other people are accused of beating them and another person with metal poles Thursday night.

The victims are only identified as a 44-year old woman and a 43-year old man, both of Quincy, who were taken to Blessing Hospital with what was described as non-life threatening injuries. Police say they were called around 9:50 P.M. to the 800 block of North 6th, where they found three people. They said that three others had entered the home and beat them with metal poles. The third person didn't want medical help. A report says that the QPD were able to arrest two of the suspects within 20 minutes near 9th and Maine. They're identified as 47 year old Chaka Carraway and 23 year old Dartangnon Tousson, both of Quincy. Police say they later found and arrested the third suspect, 40 year old Jason Carraway of Quincy. All three are in the Adams County Jail, and may face Class X charges of mob action and armed violence, as well as aggravated battery. They may be in court Friday.

Police say that the victims and suspects knew each other, and that their investigation continues.
