MSHP says two school children, driver of other vehicle suffer minor injuries

Three people were hurt, including two children, when a Clark County school bus was rear-ended Tuesday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified those on the bus who were hurt as 15 year old Amy Haskins and 13 year old Palan Soice, both of Wayland. The Patrol also said the driver of the second vehicle, 17 year old Ashton Brown of Canton, was also hurt. In a report, troopers say the accident happened just after 3:30 PM on US 136, three miles east of Kahoka. The bus had stopped to let off some students when Brown's vehicle ran into the back of the bus.

Haskins and Soice were both taken to Fort Madison Community Hospital, while Brown was taken to Unity Point Keokuk. All three suffered only minor injuries.
