Tiny Home Delivered

Tiny Home Delivered

2 weeks ago by Jim Dewey

Project went from conception to foundation in under 60 days

After dozens of volunteers built a tiny home at the Adams County Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 8th, the home had to be delivered to its permanent location at the corner of 6th and Cherry Streets in Quincy.

That happened Tuesday at noon when an army flatbed truck delivered the tiny home and more volunteers helped lift it off the truck and set it on the foundation. Richard Elsenpeter was one of the organizers of the Tri-State Veterans Tiny Home Build. He said the project was conceived in July and in less that 60 days, the home was built and set on its foundation. some work remains on the home before Michele Roberts Liesen can move into her new home. The home was donated to Liesen who was nominated along with nearly 50 other veterans to receive the home. Elsenpeter said she will be able to move in by the end of September. A second tiny home build project will soon be announced.

The target date for that construction is Veterans Day.
