Titan posts best quarterly sales in 8 years

Q2 sales of nearly $439 million are 53% higher than this time last year

A multi-national company with a Quincy manufacturing plant has recorded strong sales for its' second quarter.

Titan International Thursday reported 2nd Quarter net sales of nearly $439 million. That's 53 per cent higher than the 2nd quarter of last year, and it's the strongest quarterly sales report since 2013. Titan also reported net sales for the first half of the year were up by $215 million over last year. That's a 35 per cent increase. In addition, Titan's 2nd quarter income from operations improved by nearly $27 million. That's the strongest performance in over eight years. Titan President and Chief Executive Officer Paul Reitz said in a statement that sales increased by 9 per cent from the 1st quarter of this year. He credits strong sales in Titan's Ag and Earthmoving and Construction segments.

He expects growth to continue into next year for not only the Ag market, but for all of Titan's products.
