QPD checked 20 area businesses
Quincy police say two people were arrested in a tobacco compliance check earlier this week of 20 businesses.
In a statement Friday, the QPD says the two failed to check the state ID of a 17 year old who was cooperating with police in the compliance check. They say the ID identified the person as under 18. 49 year old Marcy Rhoades of Quincy was working at the County Market Express on South 36th and 24 year old Kaylee Biswell-Steinkamp was at the Cenex/One Stop on South 8th, when they were arrested for selling tobacco to a minor.
Both were released on notice to appear.
