2 years, 7 months ago by Scott Hardy

A Pittsfield man and a Louisiana, Missouri woman face drug and weapons charges after deputies saw a suspicious car early Saturday morning near the Mississippi River.

The Pike County Sheriff's Department identifies them as 31-year old Ethan Miller and 46-year old Jeana Thomas. A statement says that the two were in a car parked on Ralphs Landing Road around 12:40 A.M. Saturday. Deputies saw the car and were suspicious, so they investigated. Sheriff David Greenwood says that deputies found over 50 grams of meth, along with substances they think are heroin and psilocybin mushrooms, small plastic baggies, digital scales, 14 smoking devices, hypodermic syringes, several rounds of ammunition, and three handguns. Miller is charged with counts of meth delivery of 5 to 15 grams, meth possession of 15 to 100 grams, aggravated battery to a police officer, a felon in possession of a weapon, two counts of drug possession and obstruction. Thomas is charged with counts of meth possession of 15 to 100 grams, and two counts of drug possession. Both were due in court Tuesday morning.

Miller and Thomas are in the Pike County Jail, and both are being held on $100,000 bond.
