Samuel Workman, Steven Motley caught on Union Street

Two Hannibal men are in jail, and Hannibal police say they've seized large quantities of meth and cash, after their arrests Tuesday night.

Hannibal police say the incident started just before 9 PM Tuesday night at a house in the 13 hundred block of Union, while two ACES officers were conducting surveillance. A statement says the officers saw 35 year old Samuel Workman, who was wanted for meth possession and a parole warrant. Workman ran, but was eventually Tased by officers, who say they found a large quantity of meth and currency on him. Workman's home was later searched, where police say they found large quantities of both meth and cash. Workman faces numerous charges, including Meth manufacturing, meth possession, marijuana possession and felony resisting arrest.

Officers say they stayed at Union Street after the arrest, and later saw 38 year old Steven Motley, who was wanted in both Ralls and Marion Counties. He was arrested after trying to flee. Both men are in the Marion County Jail, and will be arraigned Friday.
