Two men charged after Sunday morning fights in Pittsfield

Two Pittsfield men face charges, after one of them pulled a knife during a fight early Sunday morning outside a Pittsfield convenience store.

Pittsfield Police Chief Kenneth Yelliott says that around 12:30 AM Sunday, police were called to a fight in progress at the Casey’s General Store on East Washington. A statement says that officers learned that during an earlier fight, 29-year old Miguel Perez displayed a knife. No one was hurt in either fight, but Perez and 22-year old Tomas Perez of Pittsfield were both arrested. Miguel Perez was arrested on charges of Aggravated Assault and Disorderly Conduct. Tomas Perez was also arrested for Disorderly Conduct.

Both men are in the Pike County Jail, pending a bond hearing.
