Jayson Mallady, Melinda Cox picked up during Cherry St. raid

Two people have been arrested on meth charges after a raid Thursday in Quincy.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office identifies the two as 39-year old Jayson Mallady and 39-year old Melinda Cox. A report says that deputies arrested the pair during a noon-time raid on a home in the 300 block of Cherry. Both were arrested on charges of meth possession with intent to deliver, while Cox was also arrested for heroin possession. During the raid, deputies say they found what they suspect to be both meth and heroin, and cash.

Both are in the Adams County Jail, awaiting a likely bond hearing on Friday. Mallady is due to go on trial in December, after being indicted in September on one count of meth possession. Cox is on probation for a 2016 meth conviction.
