Two people hurt when car hits tree

Quincy police are investigating a one car crash that sent two Quincy residents to Blessing Hospital.

First responders were sent to 15th and Jefferson at 8:47 last (Tuesday) night where a car had crashed into a tree. The driver of the car, 30 year old Jessica Bryant, told police she was west bound on Jefferson approaching 15th when a car pulled out in front of her. Bryant said she swerved to avoid the other car and lost control and slid into the tree.

Bryant was transported to Blessing by ambulance with moderate injuries.

Her front seat passenger, 30 year old Everette Fowler, was trapped in the vehicle as a result of the collision. Fowler was taken to the Hospital after firefighters extricated him from the vehicle.

There are no known witnesses to the crash and the other vehicle involved was not at the scene and has not been identified. Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to contact Quincy Police
