Adams County Sheriff's Office says one student taken to Blessing Hospital as precaution

Two people were hurt Thursday morning in a two-vehicle accident in Adams County, involving a Central School District bus full of students on their way to class.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office says the accident happened around 7:40 A.M. on Highway 24, west of East 2700th Street. A report says that a vehicle driven by 29-year old Alan Weber of Clayton tried to pass the bus on west-bound 24, but lost control of his vehicle. Weber's vehicle ran into the back of the bus, driven by 35-year old Jonathan Brokaw of Camp Point. Deputies say that Brokaw told them in order to maintain control of the bus, he drove it into a nearby field. Two of the 36 students on the bus reported hitting their heads during the accident. One boy was taken to Blessing Hospital as a precaution. No one else was hurt.

Weber was cited by deputies for improper passing.
