Two teens arrested in Ralls Co bomb threat

Ralls Co Sheriff says both arrested Wednesday; one is from Quincy

Two teenagers, one of them from Quincy, have been arrested in connection with the bomb threat that closed all Ralls County R-II Schools earlier this week.

In a Thursday statement, Ralls County Sheriff Gerry Dinwiddie announced the arrests on Wednesday of an 18 year old Quincy man, and a 15 year old New London boy. They've both been charged with making a false bomb threat. Dinwiddie said the arrests came after quote, "the execution of multiple search warrants and interviews." Dinwiddie added that quote, "The safety of our children is paramount and so we take these threats seriously."

The schools in Center were evacuated after a bomb threat against Mark Twain High School was called in to Center police Monday morning.
