Precipitation averaged 0.41 inches statewide, 0.70 inches below normal. There were 6.1 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending Sunday. Topsoil moisture supply was rated 14 percent very short, 38 percent short, and 48 percent adequate. Subsoil moisture supply was rated 13 percent very short, 37 percent short, and 50 percent adequate.

Corn mature reached 80 percent, up 19 percentage points from last week. Corn harvested for grain was 32 percent complete, compared to 40 percent for the 5-year average. Corn condition was rated 3 percent very poor, 6 percent poor, 28 percent fair, 50 percent good, and 13 percent excellent.

Soybeans coloring reached 77 percent, compared to 65 percent for the 5-year average. Soybeans dropping leaves was at 35 percent, up 16 percentage points from last week. Soybean harvest was 4 percent complete, compared to 3 percent for the 5-year average. Soybean condition was rated 5 percent very poor, 7 percent poor, 25 percent fair, 51 percent good, and 12 percent excellent.

Cotton with bolls opening reached 73 percent. Cotton condition was rated 2 percent very poor, 7 percent poor, 45 percent fair, and 46 percent good.

Rice harvest reached 54 percent. Rice condition was rated 2 percent poor, 15 percent fair, 36 percent good, and 47 percent excellent.

Pasture and range condition was rated 3 percent very poor, 11 percent poor, 43 percent fair, 41 percent good, and 2 percent excellent
