Volunteers Needed for Annual Hannibal Cleanup

Volunteers Needed for Annual Hannibal Cleanup

3 months ago by Jim Dewey

Volunteers are needed for a spring cleanup April 21 to get rid of trash and debris around Hannibal. The event is being organized by the 1819 Stream Team along wit Hannibal Parks and Recreation and the Hannibal Area Chamber of Commerce.

Gloves and Trash bags will be provided. Mark Twain Dinette is providing gift certificates to the first 50 people who bring back trash and the first 100 volunteers can also get a stream team t-shirt.

Volunteers should meet anytime from 9 to noon Saturday at the Y’Men’s Pavilion, 105 Hill St.

There will be employees from Hannibal Street Department and Board of Public Works driving around during the cleanup to pick up the bags of trash so the volunteers don’t have to bring them back to the Dumpster at the Y’Men’s Pavilion.
