Quincy Public Schools Superintendent Roy Webb says he's hopeful that an agreement between the District and teachers can be reached before a Monday walk-out. Scott Hardy has more.

Webb made that comment during an appearance Tuesday on WTAD's Mary Griffith Show, saying that he's been hopeful throughout the negotiations.

Webb wouldn't divulge details about what's giving both sides some optimism over reaching an agreement, saying they agreed not to talk in public about specifics. Webb said that one obstacle to reaching an agreement has been not knowing what the state of Illinois's new funding formula will provide for QPS.
