Yohn, Blackledge cases going to Grand Jury

Yohn, Blackledge cases going to Grand Jury

2 years, 4 months ago by Scott Hardy

A Springfield man and a Quincy woman, charged after an incident earlier this month where a victim was kidnapped, and her home broken into, will have their cases reviewed by an Adams County Grand Jury.

Bradley Yohn and Karen Blackledge were in Adams County Circuit Court Monday for preliminary hearings. Those were delayed, because prosecutors want to take their case before an Adams County Grand Jury, meeting later this week. Yohn will be back in court next Tuesday, while Blackledge will be in court next Wednesday. Both are charged with two Class X counts of Home Invasion, along with counts of aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking, Residential Burglary and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault. Yohn also faces four counts from a mid-October incident. The pair are accused of kidnapping a woman in her car on November 9th, then forcing her to go back to her home on North Bottom Road. The home was robbed and the victim was also attacked. The pair were arrested the next day in Springfield, Illinois by U.S. Marshals.

Both are in the Adams County Jail. Yohn's held on nearly $16 million bond, while Blackledge is held on $5 million bond.
