149 new cases reported, most in over a year.
Another Adams County resident has died of COVID-19, as the one-day number of new cases is the highest this year, and the highest since last November.
The Illinois Department of Public Health said Tuesday that a 168th Adams County resident died of the virus Monday. IDPH also said that 149 new cases were reported in Adams County. That's the highest one-day total of 2021, and the highest number since 159 cases were reported on November 13th, 2020.
New cases have also been reported in West Central Illinois, including 40 new cases in Pike County, 17 new cases in Cass County, 16 new cases in Hancock County and 15 new cases in McDonough and Scott Counties.
