Unidentified woman received severe burns in incident
The Adams County Sheriff's Office says it's looking into how a woman was severely burned Sunday night as the result of a vehicle fire in Quincy.
Sheriff Brian VonderHaar put out a statement Thursday, saying the incident happened early Sunday morning. He said that deputies responded just after 12:30 AM to a vehicle fire that happened in the rear of Peters Body Shop on North 54th Street. VonderHaar says that when authorities arrived, they found a passenger car that was completely burned, and an adult woman who had received severe burns from the fire. The un-identified woman was taken to Blessing Hospital.
VonderHaar says his office is continuing the investigation and says that at this time, no foul play is suspected.
