College Provost Dr. Lauren Schellenberger takes over July 1.

Culver-Stockton College has announced they've hired the College's next President.

The C-SC Board of Trustees Tuesday announced they've unanimously approved current College Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Lauren Schellenberger as the College's 28th president. She'll start July 1st. Schellenberger will succeed Dr. Douglas Palmer, who announced in March he would become the President at Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan. A statement says that Schellenberger began her career at C-SC as an Assistant Professor of Biology while completing her Ph.D. in Biology Education at Purdue University. Schellenberger has held several executive leadership roles at the College since 2018, most recently as a chief academic officer in the position of provost.

The college will hold a press conference Thursday morning in the Johnson-Turner IDEA Center, where Schellenberger will speak about her new role. C-SC says that a formal inauguration will be planned for a later date.
