Elbert Butler arrested in Texas Co. Missouri after 2022 incident
A southern Missouri man, who worked on the carnival at last year's Adams County Fair, has been arrested on child porn charges.
The Adams County Sheriff's Office said Monday that 52-year old Elbert Butler was arrested Saturday in Texas County, Missouri, and was brought back to Adams County Monday on counts of soliciting child porn and sexual exploitation of a child. A statement says that an investigation into Butler started last August. He had been in Adams County, working as a carny for Sunshine Amusement at the Adams County Fair when the crimes allegedly happened. Butler was indicted on the charges last Thursday by an Adams County Grand Jury. He's due in court August 8th, where a date for his arraignment may be set.
Butler is in the Adams County Jail on $50,000 bond.
