Survey to examine housing market in Quincy and Adams County

The Great River Economic Development Foundation says it's launched a survey, to learn more about the housing and rental market in Quincy and Adams County.

GREDF announced the survey Tuesday, along with Adams County, the City of Quincy and the Housing and Community Advisors. GREDF says in a statement that community leaders realize that the area's housing market has been impacted by the pandemic, and that many people are struggling to find available places to rent or buy. They add that area home builders are "battling the rise in the cost to build new homes". Three housing surveys are available, for County residents, for employers and for those whose living is tied to the housing market, such as home builders, mortgage officers, developers and real estate agents.

GREDF says that with the date they collect, they'll examine market conditions, identify barriers to success and offer solutions. A link to the survey is available on GREDF's Facebook page.
