IL-EPA warning affects Adams and Pike Counties in West-Central Illinois
The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency in Springfield says that Adams and Pike Counties in West-Central Illinois will have to deal with un-healthy air until this evening.
The EPA says that there are "unhealthy conditions" for sensitive groups for ozone until 8:00 P.M. tonight. They say that the warm, dry, and sunny weather along with intensifying drought conditions are major contributing factors for the ozone formation.
Active children and adults, especially people with pulmonary or respiratory disease such as asthma, should limit prolonged outdoor activity. Residents are urged to reduce pollution levels.
