That agreement was reached earlier this week between QPS and the Quincy Federation of Teachers. Local 809 Union President Brandi Many confirmed the agreement Thursday, and says that union negotiators will meet with teachers next week to go over the contract, and take a vote. Many said in a statement that union leadership is "very excited to share the details with our members." Board member Shelley Arns says that negotiations with the QFT went well.

Arns also said that the Board wanted to get the negotiations finished before the end of the school year.

The Quincy Public Schools Board of Education will also vote on the agreement later this month. Both sides say that details of the agreement will be revealed once it's approved.
