Chairs Tim & Wendy Koontz announce $250,000 goal
The Quincy Public Schools Foundation has announced their annual fundraising campaign and goal.
That announcement was made Thursday night at Quincy Senior High. QPS alumni Tim & Wendy Koontz are the honorary chairs for the campaign. They announced that this year’s campaign goal is $250,000. Various fundraisers will be held during the campaign, including the 11th annual Night to Dream Big Gala and Auction. Honorees to be recognized at this year’s Night to Dream Big were also announced Thursday night. This year’s Distinguished Alumni Award honoree is journalist and author James B. Stewart, and this year’s Dream Big Award honoree is Ann Boland. A third award will be presented to a Foundation staff member or educator nominated by their peers and selected by the community during the Night to Dream Big event, set for November 3rd.
The Foundation says that over the last fiscal year, they handed out over 330 thousand dollars to Quincy Public Schools to meet teacher and district requests for technology, curriculum, training and other program needs.
