Justice Department says Marcus Moore sentenced to 10 years in prison
A Quincy man, who’s admitted to Federal charges that he tried to sell over 200 grams of meth last year in Adams County, is going to prison.
Marcus Moore was in U.S. District Court in Springfield Monday, where he was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He'll also have five years' supervised release after he's out of prison. Moore pleaded Guilty in early June to four counts of meth distribution. He admitted trying to sell the drug last January, February, March and August. A co-defendant, Donald Tournear, will go on trial in December. Tournear's charged with two counts of meth distribution, and is accused of selling over 50 grams of meth in late March and mid-April 2021. The men were arrested last August 17th. Tournear is currently free on bond.
Moore could have gotten up to life in prison.
