Delay due to changes in FAFSA filing
Quincy University says it's giving potential new students more time to enroll for next semester's classes, due to a delay in Federal student aid filing.
QU announced Thursday what it's calling "temporary adjustments to its enrollment policies". QU says it's extending its enrollment commitment deadline for new students from May 1 to June 1. They say the delay is due to changes being made with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA program, by the U.S. Department of Education. The Department has been in the midst of revamping the FAFSA process to apply for aid.
The University says its' Office of Student Financial Services will reach out to student who are already admitted with directions on how they can submit financial paperwork to QU. This will generate a temporary financial aid estimate to help in their decision making process. Families can also use QU’s net price calculator on its' website to enter data and get a financial aid estimate.
QU says that students will still need to fill out the FAFSA in order to get financial aid.
