Appeared Tuesday in Adams County Circuit Court

A Quincy man, charged with murder in the February shooting death of his estranged wife, has had his request for bond denied.

Tim Bliefnick was in Adams County Circuit Court Tuesday for his initial appearance. A request from his lawyer to set bond in the case was turned down. Bliefnick will also have to submit a sample of his DNA through a swab. He's charged with two counts of 1st Degree Murder, and one Class X count of Home Invasion. Bliefnick is accused of breaking into the home of his wife Rebecca Bliefnick, and fatally shooting her on February 23rd. A week after the shooting, Quincy police searched Bliefnick's home on Hampshire Street and briefly detained him, before releasing him from custody. He was arrested Monday morning at a home on Kentucky Road.

Bliefnick's held in the Adams County Jail without bond, and may enter a plea March 24th.
