Pre-1949 cars will be on display Friday-Saturday on Maine St., Sunday at Moorman Park
This year’s Early Tin Dusters Color Run starts Friday, as over 600 pre-1949 street rods and antique cars are expected on the streets of Quincy.
The cars will be on display Friday and Saturday in downtown Quincy from 8 A.M. - 2 P.M. and at Moorman Park Sunday from 8 A.M.- 2 P.M. On Saturday, the street rods will Show & Shine in The District along Maine Street and several adjoining streets, from 10 A.M. - 2 P.M. Street rodders will take part in a special event called “Dash for the Cash”. It’s described as a walking tour of shops and businesses, while collecting tickets to win cash supported by downtown businesses. Vendors of auto parts, crafts, as well as food stands will be in Washington Park.
The Early Tin Dusters is the largest free street rod event in the Midwest and one of the largest in the country. Street rodders and visitors donate money each year to help support Camp Callahan, with nearly $265,000 raised to date.
