Chaunessi Cano, Hailey Carson indicted in January 3rd incident
Two Quincy women, charged in connection with an early January shooting near 8th and State in Quincy, have been indicted by an Adams County Grand Jury.
Chaunessi Cano and Hailey Carson were both indicted Thursday by the Grand Jury. Records show that Cano will be back in court Tuesday, while Carson will be in court February 1st. Dates for their arraignment may be set then. Both are charged with counts of Mob Action and Aggravated Battery, while Carson's also charged with one count of not having a FOID card. Both are accused of taking part in an assault early January 3rd at an apartment near 8th and State. Police have said that a 22-year old male victim was beaten, kicked and hit with a stun gun, before the man was then shot. A third person, Gage Schroder, is also charged in the case, while warrants are out for a fourth person, 19-year old Brendan Schroder.
Cano's in the Adams County Jail on $20,000 bond, while Carson's free on $20,000 bond.
