Van Buren County sees first positive test result
The state of Iowa says it's seeing more new cases of COVID-19, including a case in Southeast Iowa.
The Iowa Department of Public Health said Monday it's learned of 88 new positive cases of Iowans with COVID-19, and two new deaths. That makes a total of 424 positive cases in the state, including a person aged 61-80 in Van Buren County. IDPH says that so far, there over 61 hundred negative tests to date, which includes testing reported by the State Hygienic Lab and other labs. One of the deaths Sunday night was an elderly adult over 81 in Washington County. That county recorded five new cases Sunday.
A public hotline has been established for Iowans with questions about COVID-19. The line is available 24/7 by calling 2-1-1 or 1-800-244-7431.
