2nd Man arrested in Country Club Heights shooting

Quincy police say Christopher Beaver picked up in Chicago, held on $2 million bond.

A second man's been charged with attempted murder and other charges in the March shooting at a Quincy apartment complex.

Quincy police say that 25 year old Christopher Beaver was arrested Wednesday in Chicago by US Marshals on charges of Attempted First Degree Murder, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm and Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm. He was indicted on those charges by an Adams County Grand Jury March 29th. In a statement, police say they developed Beaver as an additional suspect in the shooting at an apartment in the Country Club Heights complex on March 18th. A man was shot several times in the early morning incident, and suffered non life-threatening wounds. Another suspect in the shooting, Louis Jenkins, has been indicted on similar charges and will be arraigned April 18th.

Beaver is in the Adams County Jail on $2 million bond, and will be in court April 17th.
