3 Charged with Dangerous Offenses in Marion County

County Prosecutor David Clayton announced charges Sunday

Marion County Prosecutor David Clayton has charged three people with dangerous offenses in three separate incidents.

Randy C. Majors was charged with Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon, by allegedly pointing a loaded hand gun at a man. Majors is also charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a convicted felon. His bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety. According to Hannibal police, Majors was involved in a confrontation with a man dating his estranged wife. The two were arguing over a broken window in a vehicle when Majors allegedly threatened to shoot the other man and went inside to get a pistol. This incident occurred in the 500 block of Pine Street at about 11 o'clock in the morning on Saturday, September 22nd.

Trenton S. Woodside was charged with Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon, for allegedly pointing a loaded shotgun and threatening to shoot a man at about 4:30 Saturday morning. His bond is also set at $25,000 cash or surety. Police say, a homeowner had gotten up early Saturday morning to go fishing when he heard someone yelling in what sounded like an argument. When he went into the kitchen to prepare his bait, the man says Woodside came out of a bathroom and when he asked Woodside what he was yelling about, Woodside went into another room a grabbed a shotgun. Woodside was living in the home with the victim's son at the time of hte incident in the 14 hundred block of Hayward St.

Wodside and Majors face up to 7 years in prison if convicted.

In the third incident, Police were called late Saturday afternoon to the Hannibal Inn where James A. Bales, allegedly picked up a man by the throat and threw him down. Police say Bales also picked up a ceramic flower pot and threatened to hit the victim with it. Bales was charged with the Felony of Assault in the 3rd degree. He was an employee who was living at the hotel at the time of the incident. Bales is currently on a 24 hour hold awaiting bond to be set. He could be sentenced to up to four years if convicted.
