32-year old Brian Ellis, 36-year old Dorina Heiden charged in separate incidents

The Adams County Sheriff's Office says it's made arrests within 24 hours in two cases involving child victims.

In the first case, an Ursa man's been arrested on three child sex counts. The Adams County Sheriff's Office Wednesday announced the arrest of 32-year old Richard Ellis on three counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child. That's a Class X felony, with a sentence of 6 to 30 years in prison per count if convicted. In a statement, Sheriff Brian VonderHaar says that Ellis was picked up Wednesday morning at Blessing Hospital on a warrant, and that an investigation has been ongoing since earlier this month. Ellis is in the Adams County Jail on 400 thousand dollars' bond. A court date's not yet been set.

On Tuesday afternoon, a Quincy woman was arrested, and has been charged with two counts of Aggravated Battery to a Child, after an alleged attack on a 3-month old baby. The Sheriff's Office Wednesday announced the arrest of 36-year old Dorina Heiden, which they said happened Tuesday afternoon around 2 PM. A statement says that the Sheriff's Office started investigating in April, after a then-3 month old child was taken to Blessing Hospital by ambulance. Prosecutors have charged Heiden with two counts of Aggravated Battery to a Child, with one of the counts a Class X Felony. They allege the incidents happened in late March.

Heiden's free on $10,000 bond, and will be in court Friday.
