Kim Sandegren arrested Tuesday, awaiting extradition to Adams County

An Alabama man's been arrested on suspicion that he stole over 10 thousand dollars from a Quincy Catholic elementary school.

On Thursday, Quincy Police identified the man as 29-year old Kim Sandegren. A statement says that the QPD had been investigating the theft since May 2023 from St. Peter School. He was wanted on a warrant for Theft over $10,000, and worked at the school when the thefts happened. He then moved from Quincy. QPD Sgt. Adam Gibson says that police, with help from the Adams County State's Attorney's Office, contacted investigators in Madison, Alabama, a suburb of Huntsville. They arrested Sandegren on Tuesday.

He's being held there while waiting to be extradited back to Adams County.
