Alleged Hannibal drive-by shooter's parole revoked

Tion Dorsey will have to serve 85% of 10-year sentence

A Mexico, Missouri man, accused of taking part in a drive-by shooting last fall in Hannibal, is now in prison after his probation in another case was revoked.

Tion Dorsey was in Marion County Circuit Court Wednesday, where his probation on a 2008 Assault conviction in Marion County was revoked. Dorsey was then sentenced to 10 years in prison, which had been suspended. According to Marion County Prosecuting Attorney David Clayton, Dorsey will likely serve 85 per cent of that sentence. Dorsey's also facing trial in Marion County August 27th in the November 29th, 2017 shooting, where multiple shots were allegedly fired from a car in the 2500 block of Broadway. According to Clayton, that may change. In a statement, Clayton notes that everyone involved in the case, including the victim, is in the Department of Corrections. Clayton says "That will likely affect how we choose to proceed in Dorsey’s matter.”

A pre-trial hearing in the case is set for August 3rd.
