Family Eye Care Center will have "preferred provider" status
Blessing Healthcare System has signed an affiliation agreement with another Quincy health-care provider.
Blessing announced Monday that it's signed an agreement with Family Eye Care Center. In a statement, Blessing says that through the agreement, Family Eye Care will now hold “preferred provider” status. That means that if a Blessing patient needs eye care and doesn't already have a provider, their Blessing physician will recommend Family Eye Care to meet the patient’s need. Blessing adds that the affiliation does not change ownership of Family Eye Care, the practice of Doctors Kirk and Jason Kvitle. In the statement, Blessing Health System President/Chief Executive Officer Maureen Kahn says that the agreement means that the hospital doesn't have to spend "the large sum of money required launch a national recruitment effort for two new optometrists."
She adds that the Kvitle's have a proven track record of quality and customer service.
