Claims made of "inadequate supervision"

An energy aggregation company says there's inadequate supervision of the city of Quincy's electric aggregation plan, and he thinks the city should have an independent audit done. Scott Hardy has more

Matt Anderson, Chief Operating Officer of Anderson Consultants, made the claim during Monday night's City Council meeting. Anderson told the council that his business had uncovered two companies that are currently on the plan, even though they use more electricity than what's allowed.

Anderson described those companies only as a non-profit and a for-profit company. Afterwards, he explained why an independent audit would be important.

Reg Ankrom of SIMEC, which manages the city's aggregation program, says he welcomed Anderson's comments.

Ankrom was instructed by Mayor Kyle Moore to write a memo about Anderson's claims, and will likely speak to the City Council next week.
