QND publishes parking, seating map of area

The city of Quincy is getting ready for tonight's showdown between Quincy Notre Dame and Quincy High, and so are QND officials.

The school Friday published a map on its' Facebook page of the campus and surrounding area, showing where Raider and Blue Devil fans will be seated, and where parking will, and won't, be available. Quincy Police have eliminated parking on several streets near the school until Midnight. They include the south side of Jackson from 9th to 12th streets, the west side of 9th street from Van Buren to Harrison and the north side of Harrison from 8th to 9th. Police say there will also be no parking signs on the east side of 9th street from Van Buren to Harrison, but that area will be used as supplemental handicapped parking. In addition, 9th Street from Jackson to Van Buren will be closed.

QPD Deputy Chief Doug VanderMaiden says you should plan to arrive early if you expect to be there for kickoff at 7PM. The Quincy Public Schools will have a shuttle bus from Quincy Junior High to QND starting between 5 and 5:15 PM. At Quincy Junior High, the shuttles will load and unload on 14th street, in front of the main entrance. At QND, the shuttles will drop off and pick up on the south side of Jackson between 9th and 10th Streets. The last shuttle from QND to the Junior High will be one hour after the game ends.

You can hear the game, starting at 6:45 PM here on WTAD, and on 105.9 FM, KZZK.
