Suspected of robbing CME on 36th and Casey's on 24th

Quincy Police are looking for a woman who they think is behind two armed robberies of two Quincy convenience stores in less than 12 hours.

The QPD Sunday morning said they think a robbery at the Casey's on North 24th Street around 4:30 AM Sunday and a robbery at the County Market Express at  South 36th Street and State Street around 7:15 Saturday evening are related. The two store clerks in the store at the time of the County Market Express robbery told officers a suspect, who was possibly female, entered the store wearing sunglasses, baggy clothes and white athletic sandals, and carrying a bag with unknown contents. That's nearly identical to what the Casey's robber, described as a woman in her 30's or 40's, who is either white or a light skinned mixed race, was wearing. In both robberies, the suspect demanded money. At the CME robbery, she told the store clerks she had a gun, but one was never displayed or seen. The clerks at Casey's described seeing what they thought was a handgun.  There were no customers in either store, and no one was injured in either robbery.

Anyone with information related to these incidents, or the suspect's location, is asked to contact the Quincy Police Department, or call the Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers.
