Crider hearing again delayed

Crider hearing again delayed

7 years, 6 months ago by Scott Hardy

Preliminary hearing moved back to November 29

The father and step-mother of convicted murderer Steson Crider have had their preliminary hearings on charges related to the shooting death of Ray Humphrey, Junior delayed.

Stefan Crider Junior and Julia Crider were in an Adams County courtroom Tuesday for that hearing on four counts of obstruction of justice. The hearings were continued to November 29th. Prosecutors allege that the Criders gave both money and a vehicle to Steson, to help him leave Illinois after the March 2015 shooting on Quincy's northwest side. He was later convicted of 2nd degree murder in the shooting, and is serving a 65 year prison sentence.

Both Criders are free on $10,000 bond.
