Chris Chinn, director of the Missouri Department of Agriculture, is the keynote speaker for the First Bankers Trust Ag Banquet, set for March 6 at 5:30 p.m. at Town & Country Inn and Suites, 110 N. 54th St. Chinn, a fifth generation Missouri farmer from Clarence, was named Director of the Missouri Department of Agriculture in January 2017 by Missouri Gov. Eric R. Greitens. Director Chinn has held leadership positions in agriculture on the local, state and national level for more than 12 years, working to move the state’s agriculture industry forward. The Agribusiness of the Year, Larry Fischer Ag Educator of the Year, and Herald-Whig Farm Family of the Year, all to be named at a later date, will be honored at the banquet. The cost is $20 per person, or $160 for a table of eight. To make your reservation, click here.
