Qu'est que c'est, or, WTF
I started taking French lessons in fourth grade. Oui, je m'appel Marie and I was once talented and gifted. Not so much anymore. French lessons from fourth grade through college, immersion in French literature, food and culture, and lots of French artists --- and yet, yet......I caused my trivia team to lose because I don't know the difference between a painting by Renoir and Monet.The ladies were in a bar, dressed in blue. That has to be Renoir, right? Wrong! It was Monet. Fifty bucks down the drain. Twelve years of learning, all for naught.
All I can appreciate is pommes frites. That's french fries.
