Levon Mathews found at rest stop near Hull
The President and CEO of F&M Bank in Hannibal has been found dead in a rest area in Pike County, Illinois.
In a statement issued Wednesday afternoon by Pike County Sheriff Paul Petty, Pike County E911 received a call of an apparent deceased male lying on the ground at the rest area on Route 106 , west of Hull Wednesday morning, around 8:20 AM. According to Petty, officers responded and found 57 year old Levon Mathews of Hannibal dead on their arrival. Foul play has been ruled out in Matthews' death. He had served as F&M's President/CEO for three years, and is survived by a wife and daughter.
The James O’Donnell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
